汶莱卫生部周六发表文告指出，该国出现首起新冠肺炎死亡病例。

文告表示，死者是一名64岁男子，是汶莱的第25起确诊病例。

文告说，死者是在周五晚上于国家隔离中心逝世。

文告指出，死者在本月4日回到汶莱，此前曾经去过马来西亚和柬埔寨。

汶莱目前累计确诊病例115宗，累计出院病例11宗。
