怡保市政厅周三派出10名工作人员，前往九洞美露拉也巴士总站进行全面消毒工作，而配合消毒工作的进行，该巴士总站已在23日起关闭至25日，26日方恢复服务.

根据怡保市政厅在周三的文告中指出，来自怡保市政厅卫生单位的8名工作人员及2名官员，是于上午8时30分开始至上午10时，在该巴士总站楼上的巴士抵达站及楼下共约10万平方尺进行消毒工作。

文告说，怡保市政厅的清洁与消毒的工作也将在管辖下的各个地点如公共巴刹、食物中心及休闲公园等进行，一直到3月31日。

文告也指，怡保市政厅所进行的清洁与消毒工作是为确保公共场所的清洁，以防范新冠肺炎疫情。
