原任槟州卫生、农业及农基工业事务委员会主席阿菲夫指，他是在槟首长曹观友的劝告下呈辞。
曹观友周三中午召开记者会时，宣布阿菲夫已辞去该槟行政议员一职，即日生效。
阿菲夫週三（4日）下午发文告表示，他于今早9时20分被首长召见，相谈有关他在槟州政府中，行政议员的处境。
阿菲夫承诺将继续以诗布朗再也区州议员的身份为民服务。
他续说，会谈中，他接受首长看法和劝告，而决定辞职，并从2020年3月4日起生效。
他也说，他谨此向首长、全体州行政议员、州政府人员、槟州子民表示感谢及给予的信任，让他在过去7年，即2013年开始为槟州贡献。
他承诺，他将继续以诗布朗再也区州议员的身份为民服务。
