新冠肺炎疫情持续肆虐,香港理工大学周二(11日)发布一套全球最全面的全自动快速多重诊断系统,由全自动快速检测仪和多重微流检测元件组成,可用于即时基因检测,区分出引起呼吸道疾病的病原体,包括2019新型冠状病毒。
该系统在同一个测试中,能够在1小时内检测出30至40种病原体,如季节性流感病毒、禽流感、人类呼吸道合胞病毒和2019新型冠状病毒等。整个测试过程毋须人手操作,能以极高的特异性同时区分各种病原体。
理大创新及科技发展总监刘乐庭表示,当前的挑战是缺乏用于早期和现场诊断的全面即时基因检测技术,以同步区分不同病原体,此系统提供了可行的解决方案。他又称及早和准确地检测病原体,能够有效和快速地控制和管理疾病。
