美国卫生官员周四公布，该国出现首宗武汉肺炎人传人个案，亦是当地第6宗病例，该名新患者的妻子早前从武汉回国后确诊染疫。

染疫夫妇住在芝加哥，同为60多岁，女方是美国第2宗武汉肺炎确诊病例。

她去年12月底回武汉照顾患病的父亲，本月13日返回芝加哥，回国后数天才开始觉得不适并出现病征，到医院求诊，当局在上周五（24日）宣布她确诊患上武汉肺炎。

目前，她和刚确诊的丈夫都在医院留医。
