新文英垃圾场失火，不排除涉及人为，执法当局在灾场逮捕一名男子协助调查。

该垃圾场是于3天前发生大火，政府消拯局及多支义务消防队，当时陆续赶到灾场展开扑灭火势行动。

事过3天后，该垃圾场又于今天发生大火，消拯局等再次赶到灾区扑灭火患，惟这次发现了一名举动可疑男子后将他逮捕交予警方查办。

“这名男子据了解是前往垃圾场寻找铜铁，他是否与垃圾场失火事件有关，目前已交予警方进一步调查。”

另一方面，吉打地方政府事委会出席陈国耀及环境事委会主席黄思敏，今午在接获最新进展后，已前往新文英垃圾场了解详情，整个垃圾场的面积为10英亩。
