教育部已经对蒲种市镇国中一校农历新年装饰事件进行调查，发现该校是配合农历新年及1月11日雪州华文书法比赛而做出这些装饰。

教育部周三发表文告说，教育部满意蒲种国中的解释，并对于该校获选为雪州华文书法比赛主办学校一事引以为荣。

文告指出，学校张挂装饰品迎接佳节，是支持教育部的学生交融团结计划（RIMUP），该计划鼓励学校附近的社群、教师及在学生的合作下，共同举办一些活动。这包括举办一些可团结各族的文化活动。

文告说，教育部支持在学校开展促进文化交流，提高对于多元文化背景有更深入了解的活动。
