沙州卫生局证实，从12月15日至28日晚，亚庇共发现8个A型流感病毒H1N1病例。

沙州卫生及人民福祉部长拿督潘明丰发表文告证实，患者为1岁至12岁儿童，目前情况稳定。

他指出，当局已采取防范流感扩散措施，并教育民众预防感染流感的步骤。

周六在社交媒体尤其是多个手机WhatsApp群组间流传，亚庇爆发A型流感病毒H1N1病例的讯息，许多儿童在一间购物中心感染A型流感。
