浮罗交怡瓜镇客船码头附近周六晚发现一名81岁澳籍男子的浮尸，当时该具浮尸是被困在一艘翻覆的船只旁。

浮罗交怡警区主任莫哈末依巴证实，被发现的外籍浮尸为大卫约翰，来自澳洲，死者尸体当时漂浮在水面，被勾在一艘船只旁。

他说，死者尸体是于周六晚约11时20分，被一艘从玻州港口往浮罗交怡码头的客船船长莫哈末埃尔温发现。

他表示，根据该名船长口供，其客船抵达浮罗交怡码头附近时，他发现一艘翻覆的船只旁浮现一具尸体。

他指出，消拯局接获投报后派员把浮尸捞起，并送往浮罗交怡中央医院进行解剖，解剖报告未出炉之前，警方暂时援引突然猝死调查此案。
