1918年时，有艘铁船因意外搁浅于尼加拉河，如今这艘历时超过100年的船突然脱离河床开始移动，并往瀑布方向靠近。

外媒报导指出，该艘铁船是一艘挖泥作业的驳船，在1918年的一次施工过程中，意外与拖船断开连接，并就此受困于尼加拉河，在过去101年来，卡在离瀑布大约只有600公尺的河床上。

不过尼加拉公园委员会(Niagara Parks Commission)周五指出，在连日暴风雨吹袭，加上强劲水流推动下，该艘铁船再次移动，并往瀑布方向移动了164英尺（约50公尺），引发外界关注。

不过公园委员会强调，铁船应该暂时还不会从瀑布坠落。
