大家常听到预防失智的不二法门就是多动脑、多运动,但究竟该怎么“动”才有效?一听到多动脑,有些人以为要做一些特别的益智活动才有效,其实,在日常生活中就有很多简单易做的“动脑活动”。
多年前已有研究指出,“做家事”有助于预防失智。做家事一方面会运用到脑力,另一方面也能帮助活动身体,像是折衣、洗衣、晒衣等等,都不是坐在沙发上就能完成的事情。

想从日常生活着手预防失智,以烹饪下厨是好选择;提出以下4大原因:
{1}备料下厨很动脑:比如说今天晚上要请亲朋好友来家里吃饭,你可能从几天前就开始思考菜色,还得计划要买哪些食材、去哪里买等等;每道料理的烹饪手法不同,有些从早上就要开始准备,也有些是最后快炒上桌。在备料和料理过程中,每一道步骤都要经过大量动脑才能顺利完成。
{2}买菜煮菜活动肢体:想煮出一桌好菜,过程实在是繁杂且漫长,从外出采买、回到家后备料及烹煮,不知不觉中也运动到四肢,有活化大脑的效果,比起整天坐在沙发上好太多了!
{3}越煮越开心:选择自己喜欢的食材,按照自己的步调烹调,完成一道道自己喜爱的料理,或是看着家人朋友吃得开心,自己开心;让烹饪成为一件开心、纾压的事,也不失为一种预防失智的好方法。
{4}健脑饮食吃下肚:烹调时不妨采用有益大脑健康的饮食方式,像是普遍推崇的地中海型饮食,着重在少吃精致淀粉、多吃五谷杂粮;多吃蔬菜水果;蛋白质来源以鱼类、豆类及海鲜为主,减少摄取红肉;使用优质油脂,例如橄榄油、菜籽油,少用沙拉油和猪油等。
