孙忠良于南京因病逝世。

中国微波毫米波技术专家孙忠良因病治疗无效,周六于南京逝世,终年82岁。

孙忠良生前为中国工程院院士、东南大学教授,长期从事微波、毫米波技术研究和教育工作,其研究成果获得国家科技进步一等奖等多项奖励。

他同时培育大批优秀科技人才,为中国毫米技术的工程及国防应用作出贡献。

据知,毫米波频率为30GHz至300GHz,对应波长分别为10毫米到1毫米。在流动通信领域,通常把24GHz至100GHz称为5G毫米波。毫米波技术的研究对第5代移动通信技术具有重要意义。
