侦探小说《福尔摩斯》系列（Sherlock Holmes）自从改编成影视作品以来一直深受观众欢迎，近年演过相关角色的演员，无论是Robert Downey Jr.还是Benedict Cumberbatch，人气都水涨船高。

不过今年再有新戏以《福尔摩斯》为题材，留心一看《Holmes &Watson》中的主角是两位喜剧演员——Will Ferrell还有John C.Reilly，饰演英国最出名的侦探小组，在片中保护女王，连自拍棒都出场，他们还要做出时下最流行的鸭子嘴，两位用最搞笑方式打击犯罪，演出不一样的Holmes与助手Watson。这是继《Talladega Nights：The Ballad of Ricky Bobby》、《Step Brothers》之后两人的第3次合作。

在预告里，两人的喜剧天赋发挥得淋漓尽致：用手枪打蜜蜂，和英国女王“自拍”，贴了胡子以后就自称为“伪装大师”……在白金汉宫的一场谋杀案，两人需要在4天内破案来保护英国女王。除了两位主演，还有“伏地魔”Ralph Fiennes、“House医生”Hugh Laurie等观众熟悉的演员客串，其中Ralph饰演Holmes的老对手Moriarty教授。#
