新冠肺炎蔓延全球，过去声称没有确诊个案的缅甸，惟该国当局周一晚也证实出现首2宗个案。

该国卫生部指，一名36岁确诊缅甸男子由美国返国后确诊，另一名26岁缅甸确诊男子则由英国返国。当局称会追踪2人的紧密接触者。消息一出，仰光一间24小时超巿出现抢购潮。

缅甸政府曾表示，该国的生活方式与餐单，如少身体接触及使用现金而非信用卡，令国民较难染疫。当局近日已关闭公共场所，包括学校、戏院和按摩院等。
