《华盛顿邮报》报道，近日有卫星拍摄到，疫区库姆市最大的坟场，有大型墓坑挖掘工程，不排除是专为新冠肺炎死者准备。
评论认为，伊朗政府刻意隐暪实际疫情，无助抗疫工作，同时亦指出伊朗多名高官及政要染疫，反映权力核心缺乏防疫意识。
伊朗新冠肺炎疫情严峻，全国已有逾万宗确诊个案，超过500人死亡，多名伊朗高官政要接连确诊，当中包括第一副总统贾汉吉里，而伊朗最高精神领袖哈梅内伊的顾问更染疫不治。
