汶莱卫生部周一晚宣布，该国出现首宗新冠肺炎确诊病例。

患者是一名53汶莱男子，3月3日与3名朋友从马来西亚吉隆坡返回。

消息传出后，汶莱民众纷纷涌往各大商场及超市抢购日常用品。

晚上八时许开始，商场及超市皆现人潮，收银柜台更是大排长龙。民众抢购粮食和日常用品，而卫生纸和纸巾尤其大受欢迎。
