一卷再普通不过的卫生纸，竟然有人为它出价1610美元！澳洲著名房地产公司“威外特”早前举行慈善拍卖会，拍卖品竟是一卷卫生纸。

这卷卫生纸拍卖价以100美元（约422令吉）起标，不过竞拍价很快就飙升，最终“威外特”分支机构的员工哈格里夫以1610美元（约6799令吉）成功标下它。

哈格里夫表示：“我宁愿帮助别人而非被帮助，这是我父亲常挂在嘴边的话，这跟我们购买的物品无关，而是出于行善最乐的道理。”

据悉，这场拍卖会还竞拍其他物品，而所有获得的款项将捐给对抗森林大火的慈善机构“砖墙之外”。
