中国国务院联防联控机制于周日举行新闻发布会。中国外交部领事司司长崔爱民介绍，疫情发生以来，外交部和中国驻外使领馆联系有关航空公司，为滞留海外的中国公民办理改票、改道等手续，安排返回中国，并协调当地有关航空公司，先后派出10架次的航班前往多个国家，接回了1314名中国公民。

此外，崔氏还敦促有关国家政府切实重视解决好中国公民在当地健康和安全方面的问题，对于因疫情滞留当地人员的签证或者居留手续，提供必要便利和协助。

同时，还积极协助港澳特区政府，从日本接回钻石公主号上的近200名港澳居民。
