大马皇家警察周一在其脸书专页发文指出，由于我国受到新型冠状病毒（新冠肺炎）疫情的影响，掀起抢购口罩情况以致缺货，许多民众无法在实体店买到口罩，不惜上网交易，却成为一些不法之徒行骗的目标。
因此，警方促请民众先查核卖家的资料再进行交易，避免成为下一个受害者。
