阿富汗阿里亚纳航空公司(Ariana Afghan Airlines)周一发表声明，否认该国加兹尼省政府发布的该公司飞机坠毁的消息。

与此同时，阿富汗民航局也表示，没有收到民航客机坠毁的报告。

阿里亚纳航空公司发言人表示：“阿里亚纳航空公司的飞机正常起飞和降落，已经到达了目的地。因此，坠毁的飞机并不属于阿里亚纳航空公司。”

无论如何，综合各方讯息，失事的飞机很有可能是军用飞机或运输机，属于阿富汗国民军。

较早前，阿富汗加兹尼省政府发言人表示，当地时间周一下午1时10分(大马时间下午4时40分)左右，阿里亚纳航空公司的一架飞机因技术原因坠毁并起火。失事飞机是一架波音飞机，是从阿富汗首都喀布尔飞往赫拉特的途中坠毁，而坠毁地点处于阿富汗东部塔利班控制地区，飞机上载有83人。
