据央视新闻报道，新加坡卫生部周四晚确认，新加坡确认首例新型冠状病毒病例。患者是一位66岁男子。另有一名53岁女子初步测试结果呈阳性，目前正在等待最终的检测结果。

除了新加坡，中国境外已通报了多例确诊病例，包括美国1例，日本1例，泰国4例，韩国1例。
