在去年大马残障运动会举重项目中为柔州夺得铜牌的阿达玛鲁，今日中午因住家发生大火，来不及逃生而丧命。

现年28岁的阿达玛鲁生前在吉隆坡工作。他是在5天前回乡度假，原定计划在今日北上首都，没想到因住家厨房失火，来不及逃生，命丧火海。

阿达玛鲁身体有80%被烧，当场没有生命迹象，其遗体已被送往麻坡苏丹娜法蒂玛专科医院太平间。

阿达玛鲁住家发生大火后，麻坡消拯局在今日上午11时59分接获火患投报，派出一辆消防车及5名消拯员到场救援。

该局初步调查显示，起火点源自厨房的炉灶，而墙壁被大火烧毁约60%。
