新加坡人力部周四公布的数据显示，新加坡第三季失业率经季调后从第二季的2.2%升至2.3%，创下自2009年第4季以来新高。

新加坡人力资源部表示：“失业率上升是由于潜在的经济不确定因素导致企业雇用人员谨慎，需要努力帮助失业求职者克服与剩余空缺职位的技能不匹配。”

不过，新加坡的失业率仍远低于其他发达经济体。经合组织（OECD）的平均失业率为5%左右。
