中国国防部新闻局副局长、新闻发言人任国强周四表示，解放军驻港部队随时听从党中央、中央军委的指挥。

他是在举行的例行记者会上，就香港止暴制乱情况，如是指出。

任国强说，关于香港局势，中国国家主席习近平发表了重要讲话，发出了中央政府对香港局势止暴制乱工作的最强音，为稳定香港局势指明了方向和路径。

他指出，解放军驻港部队随时听从党中央、中央军委的指挥，有决心、有信心、有能力履行好基本法和驻军法赋予的职责使命，坚决维护国家主权、安全和发展利益，坚决维护香港长期稳定、繁荣发展。
